Arsenal ‘Keeper Wanted By Italian And German Clubs

Arsenal’s third choice goalkeeper Emiliano Viviano is wanted by both Bologna and Werder Bremen in January with the Italian currently on loan at the Premier League leaders.

The 27-year-old has seen no action for the Gunners this season having been signed from Palermo as back-up for Wojciech Szczesny and Lukasz Fabianski in the summer.

According to talkSport, both Werder Bremen and Bologna are set to enquire about his availability in January.

It is unlikely that the Italian will return to Serie B side Palermo after they were relegated from the top flight last season with reports suggesting that Arsenal could tie him up on a permanent basis at the end of the season.

Viviano was the number one ‘keeper at Fiorentina last season during his loan spell and helped the Italian side secure a Europa League Play-off place with fourth in the table.

The 27-year-old has previously played for Bologna but is yet to make a permanent move outside of Italy.
