Chelsea Close In On £25m AC Milan Forward

Balotelli Penalty

Chelsea have been given the green light to push on with efforts to land AC Milan forward Mario Balotelli with Sports Direct News claiming that the San Siro side are ready to sell the former Man City man.

The San Siro side, who have started the season in woeful fashion, are said to have ran out of patience with Italian international Balotelli, who’s disciplinary and behavioural problems have been angering the club’s staff.
AC Milan are demanding £25m for Balotelli which would appear a decent demand given the 23 year old’s age and obvious potential.
Jose Mourinho will certainly be looking to strengthen his attack given the fact that his quartet of striking talent; Demba Ba, Fernando Torres, Samuel Eto’o and Andre Schurrle, have been displaying very average form to say the least, managing just four Premier League goals between them this term.
Balotelli may well have had his fair share of disciplinary issues since moving back to Italy in January but this hasn’t prevented the Italian international from netting freely. The 23 year old has scored 16 goals in 24 appearances for the Rossoneri, this despite the club’s erratic form.
Jose Mourinho may feel that Balotelli is a better fit to fill the Blues striker berth than those currently in his armoury though a lot could depend on whether the Chelsea manager sees a Blues future for loaned out forward Romelu Lukaku.
